The back of the card says (with glaring historical inaccuracy): "After performing for 50,000 at RFK Stadium, the Beach Boys were invited to the White House by their Number One fans President and Mrs. Reagan. The three Wilson Brothers together for the first time in years, were welcoming Brian Wilson back to the group after a long hiatus. Sadly, he soon was drowned at a California Beach similar to the places he had won his fame with car -and surf-oldies. Not only did the Beach Boys give a White House performance to benefit the special Olympics, they helped Vice President Bush celebrate his 59th birthday. June 12, 1983." |
